Welcome to part 8 of my "Sonic SatAm" review! Maybe Antoine with his Dirty Coward Miles Gloriosus personality would’ve worked better as a slimy villain. If Robotnik never bothered to roboticize Snively for some WEIRD reason, why not Antoine, too? I could imagine that if THIS Antoine was forced to live with the evil twins of his friends for a year, well at first he’d be much more panicky, but once he realized it wasn’t so bad and less dangerous, he might fully embrace villainy, because in his evil twin’s life, he can get people to wait on him hand and foot, compliment him out of fear, and basically get away with anything that doesn’t cross his friends.
When those bikers were bowing to him and waiting on him, he didn’t feel uncomfortable, he absolutely loved it. Imagine how he’d feel in Robotnik’s position, first he’d stop all the roboticization and then he’d cherish all of the benefits of being the ruler. Antoine would be better if he was shown as a lot more INTELLIGENT, making GOOD PLANS to make up for his clumsiness and using ray guns and rope-shooting cannons and a grappling hook, and a taser, tools like Geoffrey used that make me respect even HIM more. While his bragging and lying about being a coward is stupid of him when he should know it’s pointless, he showed signs of being intelligent when he made a plan to trick Robotnik into walking into a hole covered with leaves after luring him to him with a Ring.
The only reason his brilliant plan failed was because he didn’t think it through enough to use a fake Ring or simply a great invention of Rotor’s so there was less risk, and he had no way of knowing that Robotnik, the very not-active villain who sits on a chair all day, would have rocket-boots to escape and laser-shooting gloves as a Diabolus ex Machina. How was he supposed to know that? I would’ve loved it if he DID succeed and the heroes captured Robotnik, even if just temporarily. Then Snively could rescue him, fine.
But in the mean time, the heroes could’ve raided Robotropolis for stuff like the original roboticizer. Of course, I can provide constructive criticism, because I can think of how this show would’ve been much better. Join me in part 9 to see what I think could be improved about "Sonic SatAm!"
